On the occasion of the event held on January 21, 2026, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Nizar Hani, AICS Beirut took an active part in the presentation of the new National Agricultural Strategy 2026-2035. The meeting, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and the FAO, served as an important platform for coordination and brainstorming to harmonize international efforts toward shared goals of growth and resilience.

The new strategic architecture draws inspiration from the fundamental pillars of the 2030 Agenda, integrating the dimensions of stability and economic growth through the concepts of People, Peace, and Prosperity. This systemic approach aims to transform the agricultural sector into a driver of development for the Lebanese economy, ranging from small-scale producers to large enterprises.

The success of the initiative rests on the strength of Governance and the effectiveness of Partnerships, identified as the essential catalysts for translating strategic vision into concrete results. In this context, Italian Cooperation reaffirms its commitment to participating in and fostering dialogue among various institutional stakeholders, playing a leading role in building sustainable and inclusive agricultural systems.
