The Italian Cooperation actively participates in coordination meetings of the European Union concerning humanitarian and development issues.

AICS Beirut is currently implementing two delegated cooperation initiatives, developed based on the longstanding collaboration between the Italian Cooperation and the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA):

  • ISOSEP – Integrated Social Services Provision to Lebanese and Syrian Refugee Communities in Lebanon, budget: €4.5 million, its objective is to strengthen the social protection services provided by the Social Development Centres (SDCs) of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
  • ELISSA – EU 4 Lebanon – Inclusive Services for Social Actions, budget: €10 million, its objective is to consolidate and expand the achievements of the ISOSEP program in enhancing the social services offered by MoSA’s Social Development Centres, and to develop services related to vocational training and local development. Implementation is scheduled to conclude on April 2, 2027.
