Chirine Karam
She holds a Master's degree II in "International Diplomacy and Negotiation" done over "The Role of Italian Cooperation in Women's Empowerment in Lebanon." Since 2014 she has been employed as an archivist working with the Embassy of Italy in Beirut, AICS Rome and DGCS. She was hired in 2017 permanently for the duties of Management assistant with the executive profile.
Joelle El Achkar Valline
An Italian-Lebanese interpreter and translator, she holds a Master's degree in Tourism and Cultural Geography and Touristic Planning. She also obtained a Diploma in Italian Language and Culture and a Certification in Teaching Italian to Foreigners ''CEDILS'' University Ca Foscari Venice. Since 2008, Joelle has assumed the duties of archive manager/translator and document platform management at the AICS office in Beirut.

Dahlia El Hayek
Graduated in Business Computer with a Master's degree in Management and another degree in Business administration, she started her working activity from February 2008 to date at AICS Beirut where she is in charge of ordinary administrative and accounting management.
Nicoletta Salerno
A graduate in Development and International Cooperation Sciences, she has worked with international organizations in Ethiopia and Uganda in education/training and humanitarian emergency. She worked in 2017 with a Danish CSO in East Africa managing projects in Disaster Risk Reduction under the European Aid Volunteer initiative. Since 2021, she has been working at the AICS Headquarters in Beirut as a Junior Administrative Accounting Assistant.

Silvia Cerri
After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature, she worked for several years in Italy in the field of social cooperation. She began her experience in the field of international cooperation in 2009, working with several Civil Society Organizations, first in the Balkans and then in various countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Niger, Central African Republic and Kenya). Since April 2023, she works for the AICS office in Beirut as a Financial Administrative Expert supporting initiatives in response to the Syrian crisis.
Stéphanie Mardini
Started her adventure in cooperation and development projects with CSO in Lebanon and Syria in 2004. She is in charge of administrative and financial management of emergency initiatives and funds entrusted to CSOs at AICS Beirut.
Ranwa Elsayegh
With a degree in Sociology, she started working in the field of international cooperation at several Italian organizations in Lebanon. Organizations that implement humanitarian aid and development projects, such as IAM Bari and the Italian customs. In February 2015, she began a collaboration with the AICS office in Beirut as an administrative accounting assistant for projects related to the Syrian crisis.

Rita Petrilli
International lawyer with many years of professional experience in the field of development in emerging countries and countries with political and commercial risks in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. She has been working on infrastructure and human rights projects, combining experience in the legal field with international cooperation activities for more than eight years at AICS Beirut.
Chadi Salem
A graduate in Civil Engineering, with professional experience in various fields, he began his experience in international cooperation working as a Consultant and WASH Expert at several CSOs in Lebanon. Since May 2010, he joined the staff of the AICS office in Beirut as an Infrastructure Expert.
Georges Cherabie
Civil Engineering graduate with years of experience in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He joined the staff of the AICS Beirut office as an Infrastructure Technical Expert in 2013.
Dario Mancinelli
A graduate in Economics and Agricultural Development, with a noticeable passion for the environment, he has been the Environment Expert at the AICS Beirut office since July 2022. In this role, he oversees all projects funded to local ministries, international organizations, and CSOs in the areas of environment, food security/agriculture, and renewable energy, while also supporting Team Syria. His previous professional experiences include AICS offices in Sudan and Egypt and Italian CSOs in Kosovo and Lebanon. Collaborating with the University of Copenhagen he also worked in Mozambique and Kenya.
Federico Ferrante
With a degree in International Relations, he began his experience in international cooperation working at several CSOs in Zambia, Benin, Chad and Tanzania. In September 2019, he assumed the responsibilities of Administrative Assistant for the WEFE-SENEGAL program at the AICS office in Dakar. In January 2022, he joined the staff of the AICS office in Beirut as Administrative and Finance Officer of the ISOSEP delegated cooperation project.
Vincenzo Romano
With a degree in Political Science and International Relations, he began his experience in international cooperation working at several Civil Society Organizations in Morocco, Haiti and Lebanon. In August 2019, he was in charge at the AICS office in Mogadishu as Program Manager of the office's emergency initiatives. In October 2021, he transferred to the AICS office in Khartoum as the Program Office of the delegated cooperation program in Darfur. In October 2022, he joined the staff of the AICS Beirut office first as a technical-administrative expert and then as Finance Manager of the Syrian Crisis emergency initiatives.
Giulia Maga
Graduate in Diplomatic and International Sciences she started her career at the Italian Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. Thereafter, she held various positions at Italian CSOs COOPI and AVSI managing programs in the MENA Region. She also worked on emergency projects in Syria and on protection and education projects in Lebanon. Since January 2024, she has assumed the duties of Project Officer of the ISOSEP Delegated Cooperation Project at the AICS Beirut office.
Nicola Battistella
After graduating in Political Science and International Relations, he worked on local development with several Civil Society Organizations in Guinea Bissau, Kosovo, Albania and Lebanon. Since November 2021, he has been serving at the AICS office in Beirut as team leader of the ISOSEP delegated cooperation project.
Sheryhan Mohssen
A graduate in International Sciences and European Institutions, she has worked with various Civil Society Organizations for the human rights of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. As of April 2022, she assumed service at the AICS office in Beirut as Programme Officer social sector and local development.
Jean Claude Mbédé Fouda
Professional Italian journalist of Cameroonian origin holds a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and a Master's degree in Humanitarian Operations Management. After a long career in journalism, in 2014 he began his journey as a communications officer for the Italian Cooperation in Ethiopia, and later in Tunisia and Pakistan. Since September 1, 2023, he has been part of the staff of AICS Beirut.
Gianpaolo Gullotta
He obtained his master's degree in Political Science - Development Cooperation in 2010 and starting in 2011 began working as a cooperator between Africa and Latin America. Mainly dealing with migration and refugee issues in West Africa and the Great Lakes Region, serving for 6 years as VIS Country Representative in Ghana. In 2022 he obtained a Master of Arts degree in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies at the University of London. Since 2022 he has held the position of Team Leader in the education sector at AICS, first in the San Salvador office and then in the Beirut office.
Corrado Di Dio
After completing academic studies in international relations, development policy and human rights at the University of Bologna, he worked with various NGOs in managing humanitarian assistance and development projects in Ecuador, Bolivia, Haiti, Somalia, South Sudan and Kenya. Since 2016 he has been serving at the AICS office in Beirut managing multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance programs in Lebanon (2016-2022) and Syria (from January 2023 -).
Giulia Straccamore
A graduate in International Relations with a specialization in Euro-Mediterranean relations, she has been part of the Syria Team as Programme Officer since January 2024. Her previous work experiences were mainly in North Africa. She was Programme Officer Resilience at AICS Tunis Regional Headquarters covering Libya and Algeria for five years in which she collaborated as well with some NGOs in Tunisia in the field of human rights. She also worked at the European Commission (EEAS) in Brussels.
Fausta Genovese
After graduating in International and Diplomatic Sciences, she began her journey as a humanitarian worker with Italian NGOs in Uganda, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, and Jordan. In October 2021, she joined the Syrian Crisis emergency team dealing with interventions implemented by the Headquarters in Syria.
