Unprecedented macroeconomic and environmental challenges continue to strain the agrifood sector, particularly for the women involved—both Lebanese and Syrian—who represent a vital engine of resilience for local communities. The primary obstacles remain access to land ownership, credit, and innovative technologies.

#ItalianCooperation, through the #AICS Beirut office, is active in:

Economic #Empowerment and value chain development We support women’s cooperatives in enhancing local products by providing machinery, technical training, and market access.

Social Inclusion and Gender Mainstreaming In Lebanon, in collaboration with institutions and international partners, we work to integrate a gender perspective into every phase of the new National Agricultural Strategy 2026-2035.

Innovation and Climate We promote sustainable agricultural practices that allow rural female producers to adapt to climate change, ensuring the protection of biodiversity and the efficient use of water resources.

The value of women’s agricultural work is not only a matter of equity but a strategic necessity; investing in “Women Farmers” means investing in the future and prosperity of #Lebanon and #Syria.
