Dopo 4 anni in Senegal, eccomi in Libano per unirmi alla sede di Beirut. Un contesto totalmente diverso, una nuova realtà e un nuovo ufficio. Il mio arrivo coincide con una data dolorosissima per il Paese, un anno dallo scoppio del porto di Beirut. Ho potuto apprezzare il grande lavoro di AICS Beirut per accompagnare il Libano in uno degli anni più complessi della sua storia, tante storie drammatiche e tanta povertà anche dove prima non c’era. Raccolgo il testimone, con un grande entusiasmo e pronta a fare il mio meglio accompagnata dallo staff dell’ufficio e in sinergia con tutti gli attori italiani, locali e internazionali.
After 4 years in Senegal, I am joining AICS Beirut, a different context, a new reality and a new office. My arrival coincided with a very sad date for the Country, a year after the Beirut port blast. I have been able to appreciate the great work of AICS Beirut in supporting Lebanon in one of the most complex years in its history, dramatic stories and poverty even where it wasn’t before. I take up the “witness” with great enthusiasm and I am ready to do my best with the support of the staff and in synergy with all Italian, local and international partners.
